STAGE TWO: - ROLLING CHASSIS - From $23,500

The following components are fitted to the rolling
chassis
- Basic body chassis unit with front and rear suspension.
- Rear end conversion - short end wishbones and two new half shafts.
- Four new universals fitted to the half shafts.
- Six new gas shocks.
- Six springs specially designed for the Cobra. Two front 380 lbs,
four rear 180 lbs.
- Sway bar specially designed for good front handling.
- Rack and pinion refurbished and fitted to chassis.
- Two rod ends fitted to the radius arms for the diff tramp.
- Brakes - two new front and two new rear rotors (discs).
- Complete set of new front and rear disc pads.
- Complete reconditioned front disc callipers.
- Complete reconditioned rear disc callipers.
- Complete new set of wishbones, bushes top and bottom.
- New ball joints - two top, two bottom, for front suspension.
- New wheel bearings with seals both sides.
- New bearings for rear suspension upright hubs with seals.
- Suspension passivated (zinc-cadmium plating) gold in colour for
protection against rust. Option - powder coating.
- Diff Checked and serviced - new BNG's an extra $300 if needed.
- Front stub axels - new allow an extra $200 if needed.
So what you have is the body chassis with front and rear
suspension bolted into position, fully functional and reconditioned. The
rack and pinion is in place with the body in position, with brake and fuel
lines fitted, resting on slave wheels. (Deposit of $150 for wheels
refundable on return).
What remains to be done is to remove
the body and fit hand brake, motor and gear box - this completes the
rolling chassis. The body can then be placed in position. For a small
extra cost the hand brake and tail shaft can also be fitted, along with
motor and gear box. This is calculated on an hourly basis. Further
