KIT No. 1
The first cobra replica kit - MKI - is a fully comprehensive self assembly kit. The frame is a ladder backbone
with steel corrugated zinc plated floors. The body (a true replica) is supplied fitted to the frame
with all floor pans, boot pans, inner wheel arches and bonnet, doors and boot swinging. Different
stages of build-up are available right up to a complete car ready for registration. Cost of body/chassis
is $8,800. The suspension is Jaguar front and rear which run 302-351 Ford V8 Engines. Cost to
build is $32,000. Extra cosmetics such as side pipes, stone guards etc, allow $35,000.
KIT No. 2
The second cobra replica kit - MKII - is basically the same as MKI except for the frame, which is a ladder backbone with
space frame engineering. This of course makes for a more torsionally stronger frame especially designed
for big motors with huge torque. The MKII still runs the Jaguar suspension. These kits allow people
up to 64" to fit in with little fuss. Cost of the kit is $12,000. Total build is $35,000
with extras around $40,000.
The MkI and MKII Cobra kits are supplied with a manual and have passed the Queensland torsional and beaming tests, and other
state requirements. The Jaguar suspension allows the car to handle, brake, accelerate and ride to a standard
far superior to standard suspension setups. The cost of a Jaguar front and rear suspension is approximately
$1000.00, if obtained from the right sources. These kits will take about 350 hours to complete with every part
being available through G-Force Sports Cars WA. We also specialise in replica componentry such as windscreens,
fuel caps, bumpers, side vents, seats, wheels, roll bars, dash, stone guards, side pipes, badges etc.
